Its been a while since I posted here. Actually more than six months. Lots of changes have occurred in my life and lots of things which I feel are no longer appropriate to post and gift to the rest of the world. Some things should be kept private.
We are all too often preoccupied with sharing each intimate detail of our lives to everyone - some of whom are friends and some who turn out not be.But once written - it can be found.
A little rethink about what we write can sometimes be in order and I know I will have the "freedom of speechers" screaming here but I have seen a lot of damage from some who believe that freedom of speech also encompasses no respect for other people's feelings, little integrity and no ability to realise when enough is enough.
Maybe the technological revolution has come about so quickly it has taken us all by surprise and few have a grip on rules and regulations of taking part.
I remember as a child I was taught that you should respect your elders, not to talk until spoken to, treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Has all of this really dissappeared out the window when we sit down to a computer and start to type? Is it now just the general norm?
Doesnt a civilised community hinge on its compassion to others and respect for all things?
Anyway..these are just my thoughts on the past few months.
So I now return and looking at my last posts I realise that it has been a year since I went to Monte Christo for a spooky weekend with friends.
Tonight I head off to another historic building closer to home.
I could see this new site working as another Monte Christo.
I would like that. For now, I will enjoy the opportunity to wander the grounds and enjoy this magnificent building and see what and whom wishes to make themselves known.
